Muon Technology Corporation founded in 1992, is dedicated to metal injection molding (MIM) products and processes.

MIM is merges two established technologies, plastic injection molding and powdered metallurgy.

Since establishment, our company has accumulated 14 years experience of metal injection molding.

This technology is to use the unique properties of powder metallurgy and plastic injection molding to come out with a net manufacturing process. The process is to blend metal powders and binder into mixed temper material, then heat it up, inject it into mold by injection machine to come out with shape. Molded samples need to undergo debinding process to remove the binder previously blended into, and then go through sintering, thus to gain a product with density greater than 95% and high strength. This technology combines professional fields of powder metallurgy chemical engineering and plastics molding design.

During the past 10 or more years, it has been widely applied in the fast developing manufacturing industry by developed countries such as the USA and Japan. MIM can automatically produce small machine parts with complex shapes and precise sizes. It considerably decreases the heavy and complicated procedure as well as the cost of traditional metal processing. Therefore, it has a competitive advantage in terms of industrial application.

Currently it has been widely applied to high tech fields of mechanics, electronics, automobiles, clocks and watches, opto-electronics, weapons, and bio-medicine. Therefore, metal injection molding manufacturing is a fast growing emerging industry with strong competitive advantage.
