The amphibian team has successfully manufactured, mass produced, marketed and distributed a myriad of high tech products ranging from wearables for health care and fitness, mobile devices containing a variety of technologies such as BLE, RF, NFC, GPS, GSM and CDMA chips, also inductive charging, USB and even a hydrogen fuel cell.
Our clients are primarily San Francisco Bay Area hardware startups who typically engage us as they are about enter into the RFQ phase. Ideally, they will have successfully prototyped and have 2D & 3D documentation as well as electrical BOM's ready for production quotes. We help them identify appropriate suppliers and manufacturers, negotiate contracts, get through tooling, purchasing and build phases leading them though to mass production.
Our primarily overseas cross-functional Operations Group develops and implements long-term strategy and cost savings programs for our clients in the areas of quality, production, supply chain, and engineering services to achieve desired results - and our products ship!
We are directly responsible to our clients by reporting on team activities, project status, milestones achieved, challenges faced and mitigated.
Personally, I combine over 20 years of product design, hardware engineering and project management experience to help transform products from vision to reality.
I started in the Industrial Design front end of product development and gradually moved along the path through Engineering to Project Management and with a deep knowledge of materials and processes from low to high volume production- gaining skills and experience along the way that I bring to my current role in manufacturing and supply chain consulting.
I have guided design and engineering teams with the vision to execute to completion - on time and on budget and sometimes winning awards while we're at it.
Experience in medical device, lab equipment, consumer, datacom and capital equipment industries.
