JD Smart, now with two business focuses

1. JD+ :

In February 2014, we launched the JD+ project. From our customers’ perspective, we hope to enable them achieve their desired smart life. They need more, better smart devices. From hardware makers’ perspective, they’re facing many difficulties to take a project from idea to mass production, such as supply chain and marketing challenges. JD+ wants to select and support high-potential smart devices or start-ups to create and produce good smart products that can really meet customers' specific needs.

2. JD Smart Ecosystem:

We have a "Three Connection philosophy": connections between consumers and smart devices, connections between smart devices, and connections between JD and smart devices. We plan to achieve the three connections in these three aspects:

  • Integrate the upstream industry chain with JD Smart for the purpose to promise our consumers high-quality products and services.
  • Develop our Smart Hardware Cloud Platform. We provided cloud services to more than 100 smart hardware startups and traditional home appliance manufacturers, achieving the inter-connections. Meanwhile, our JD Smart Hardware Cloud-based Super App helps our users control all connected devices with a single app, helping to connect our consumers even more quickly with the latest smart products;
  • Develop an open smart community for smart device brand vendors, startups, and their consumer fans to build a closer relationship.
