I was an early employee at Sakti3, where I helped to develop a new solid-state lithium-ion battery technology. While I was there we raised over $15M from Khosla Ventures, General Motors and others. I had the pleasure of being an inventor on a patent for a technology that was later licensed to NASA. The company was laster acquired.I was also a co-founder at Algal Scientific, which developed a new manufacturing process to grow algae to produce an compound called "beta-1,3-glucan", which stimulates the immune system. This company was also backed by VCs and is still operating. Among the large companies we partnered with was COFCO, in China. Now I'm a co-founder at Pillsy, which is developing smart, connected packaging for medication. We are working with healthcare companies in the U.S. to help make sure that people take more medications that keep them out of the hospital. Our team is based in Seattle, Washington and consists of people who worked at companies like Microsoft, Jawbone, IBM, Nokia, and others.
