I have over 20 years’ experiences with which 8 years working experience in test and certification labs, and 15 years’ experiences in electrical, consumer electronic products and electronic toys manufacturing and trading companies, where I was responsible for the product testing, compliance and quality management in Kwonnie Electrical Products Ltd. and PCH International Ltd.
During the first 10 years in Kwonnie, I was responsible for setup and manage a test engineering department which was mainly focused on the product development quality management, design review and evaluation, equipment calibration and quality system audit. Our test labs had also certified by UL, TUV SUD, ITS, SGS and the calibration labs were accredited by China Metrology Centre in DG. I needed to manage 35 staff, provide training and lead them to prepare test plan for each individual products. We also needed to get involve in the product development through out of the product design and the mass production stages. Besides of the product release tests and safety certification tests, we were also responsible for the introduction and implementation of national regulations. I am not only familiar with national and worldwide regulations and the relative standards, but also built up a good network and relationships with those certification bodies.
I was then rotated to quality department and promoted to a Sr. Quality Manager since 2010, in charge of quality department. I need to manage the quality department with different quality functional teams, including the IQC, IPQC (PCBA and product assembly), Injection QC, OQC, QA, QE, SQE and a special key account quality team, to achieve the company quality goals(KPIs). Review and approve of component and product spec., quality plans, ISO and QAKE quality document and handling of customer complaint with engineering teams were my main activities.
For the recent 4 years, I worked in PCH International Limited as a Regulatory and Compliance Manager, where I worked as a specialist for different functional teams in China and San Francisco by identification of the applicable international regulations, product reliability and performance measurement methods. Based on my working experience, I also provided the improvement recommendations for the product design, product evaluations, quality plan, material selections and the prevention & correction of the product quality issues.
