MEAL PLANNER

The idea is to implement a logical agent (computer program) with a capability of assisting cooking recipes of specific cuisine from available ingredients and suggest restaurants from where to get the specific cuisine based on user’s current location.

Proposed Solution and Implementation Details: The input for this logical agent is cuisine type, ingredients and current location.

The desired output from knowledge base list of cooking recipes which use one, some or all of those ingredient(s) as core ingredient(s) as well as restaurants which serve those recipes.

The output of java program with A-star implementation is to use the knowledge available from knowledge base and find the shortest path for the restaurants.

Programming Tools:

Implementation for this specific project requires 3 main components which includes building ontology for cooking domain, use an API to extract this data for the JAVA IDE such as eclipse and programming for composing all and displaying a user friendly GUI to the user.

  1. Protégé: An open source tool to build and view OWL/ RDF ontology in Cooking Domain.
  2. JENA/OWL API: To add extra semantics to RDF data as well as to use inbuilt data of OWL/RDF file.
  3. JAVA Eclipse IDE: Open Source IDE with JAVA support, JAVA is used as programming language to develop GUI application for user to enter input and see output.

Video Processing Board (VPB)

FPGA Used: XC6SLX45

OverView : VPB is used to capture full HD video from HDMI input. There are total two numbers of HDMI input available in this card. We have used ADV7441A HDMI Receiver chipset in this card. Video data is given into the Input of FPGA which processes video and pass those data to DSP. DSP will capture video form FPGA and send those data to HOST Processor, LCD Display and dump into the HardDisk.
